Upon subscription, evaluate your level of competence in skiing. The details below may be useful.

If you have difficulties to determine your abilities, please do not hesitate to get advise at one of the permancences of the ski club. In any case, your ski instructor will determine your level of competence at the first ski lesson.

Skiing abilities to be achieved for each level

0.0 to 0.5 (0.0: beginner)

(0.0: Never skied, 0.5: At ease on green slopes.)

The objective of this level is:

  • Becoming familiar with the equipment and snow.
  • Balance while sliding over smooth terrain on a gentle slope.
  • Snowplough turn.
  • Controlling speed using a snaking trajectory.
  • Using ski lifts.

You have achieved the objective when you master turns and movements like in these videos.

1.0 to 1.5

(1.0: At ease on easy blue slopes, 1.5: At ease on blue slopes)

The objective of this level is:

  • Descending in an elementary turn on a gentle to moderately steep slope.
  • Elementary direct line.
  • Elementary sideslipping: uphill swing, at an angle.
  • Step turns sliding uphill.

You have achieved the objective when you master turns and movements like in these videos.

2.0 to 2.5

(2.0: At ease on easy red slopes, 2.5: At ease on red slopes)

The objective of this level is:

  • Descent with a basic parallel turn on a varied, moderately steep slope.
  • Basic direct line.
  • Basic sideslips and garlands.
  • Basic high-speed turns.

You have achieved the objective when you master turns and movements like in these videos.

3.0

(3.0: At ease on easy black slopes)

The objective of this level is:

  • Descent with perfect turns on all types of piste.
  • Perfect direct line.
  • Perfect high-speed turn.
  • Experience of skiing in all types of snow and terrain.
