Ski touring section information for the season 2026-2027
Our role during outings is solely to guide and supervise. Our “ski mountaineering” instructors are not qualified to give ski lessons! That is why we ask you to join us only if you are already able to ski in off-piste conditions. We will, of course, give you some technical tips specific to ski touring!
Ski touring is a mountain sport that involves risks because of the likelihood of avalanches. For this reason, all our members receive safety training from our instructors at the start of the season. These training sessions will take place on 9 and 17 January 2027, and you only need to attend one of them. Attending the training session is mandatory. Our instructors are trained by the French Ski Federation (FFS) and take all necessary measures to limit exposure to avalanche risk during our outings.
To take part in outings, you must have your own ski touring equipment and safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe), as detailed on the dedicated page. The club does not rent out touring skis or boots! Although we recommend that you have your own safety equipment, we can lend a few transceivers, shovels and probes at the start of the season, giving you time to ask our instructors for advice if needed and to buy your own gear.
To join the ski touring section, you must first register for the section during the registration period (see below). Once you have joined the section, all registrations for outings are done online from the outings programme page (https://skiclub-skitouring.web.cern.ch/). Membership and fees
To join the outings, you must register as a ski club member and as a ski touring section member, and also have a Carte Neige!

Subscription
The dates to register to the touring section for the 2026/2027 season will soon be announced. Follow the instructions to join the club and/or subscribe to activities.
We advise you to pay online via your member area (“Espace perso”).

Membership Fee
The membership fee for the 2026/2027 season will soon be communicated.
This includes participation in the security day and in an unlimited number of outings. Car sharing costs to go to the outing location are to be added on top.
