This module allows you to create online donation forms for people who want to support your organization. Once the form has been completed and submitted, a contact record and a donation are automatically created in your Kananas workspace.
You can create as many donation forms as needed to adapt your campaigns, suggested amounts, or required information to each fundraising initiative: donation appeal, specific project, charity event, sponsorship campaign, or one-time fundraiser.
The newly created record will automatically be assigned the status defined in Settings > Options > New contact. If the selected status is “Active,” the donor will automatically receive an email with their login credentials for their personal member area.
At the donation amount level, you can specify Type, Category, and Tag values so that the contact record is automatically updated according to the selected donation amount.
Each new donation submission also generates a notification and an information email in Kananas.
Creating a donation form
The form can be created from the Forms menu using the Donation button.

You can add any field from your Kananas database to your form and define whether each field is required or optional. To add fields, simply drag and drop them into the form. To change the order, click and drag the field to a new position.
If you need to collect a field that is not available in the list, you must first create it in your custom fields.
The paragraph block allows you to insert text into your form, for example to provide instructions to donors while they complete the fields.
By clicking the Preview button in the top right corner, you can view your form exactly as it will appear on your website.
Donation amounts
In the Donation amounts tab, you can enter the different donation amounts you want to suggest. If you do not specify an amount, the donor will be able to enter the amount of their choice.
Note: online payment must first be enabled. See online payment.

For each donation amount, you can enter:
- The label
- The amount
- A description
- The information required to create the donor record: type, category, and tag.
Form example

If the person already has a Kananas account, they can log in to pre-fill the form.
After submission
This area allows you to define an email and an invoice or receipt that will be sent automatically to the person who completed the form. The thank-you message is displayed on screen after the form is submitted.

Integration
To embed your online donation form on your website, use the codes provided in the Integration tab.

QR code: if you want to use flyers or other printed communication materials, Kananas provides a QR code that links directly to your online donation form. By scanning it with a smartphone camera, donors can access the form immediately and make a donation.
Results
The Results tab allows you to view all donors who made a donation through this form. You can easily find the submitted information as well as the data associated with the contact records created in Kananas.
